Forest City Outdoors offers over 7,000 acres for our hunters. Just over 2,500 of those acres are within our private hunting preserve. Our family has farmed this land for 80 years and is a 3rd generation farm. Over 30 food plots have been cultivated to assist in providing optimal survival conditions for our wildlife. In addition to food plots we have natural waterways, creeks, and grassland throughout our farm available for hunting. We were one of the first farms in Potter County to go completely no-till farming which assists in providing cover and a healthy habitat.
Our hunting guides have spent a majority of their lives hunting on and around our land and have extensive knowledge of where you will get the best hunts! Our goal is to ensure you have the most successful hunt possible which relies heavily on the knowledge of our land. Whether you are a novice or have years of experience we make sure you get the most out of your hunting experience.
We offer additional hunts for those looking for variety. Goose and coyote hunts on the farmland can be added on as well as pit hunts for geese in Pierre, SD - a 50 minute drive away. In addition to these hunts, we do provide guided fishing and lodging. Call for details on our package pricing.
Forest City Outdoors is family owned and operated. We make sure our customers feel like family including home cooked meals, hors d'oevres at our home, and a family-friendly atmosphere. Our goal is make sure you feel as comfortable staying with us as you do at home.
Many of our hunters ask us why we are named Forest City Outdoors as there are clearly not many trees around, much less a forest! Our name is derived from the town of Forest City which was just down the road from the lodge. In the 1950s, the town was flooded when the Oahe Dam was put in and Lake Oahe was formed. This was our way of keeping the memory of that city alive.
